Featured is a rare silver-plated antique decorative handled basket.
Made from electro-plated (EP) Britannia metal, by James Dixon & Sons, manufacturers of pewterware and plated metalware during the early part of the 19th century.
Beautifully ornamented with 4 ball feet and embossed scrolling and leaf decorations on the rim.
A beautiful collectible piece of high tea tableware that can be used to showcase just about anything; fruit, sweets, potpourri, bonbons.
The underside is hallmarked with the Dixon trademark identification of trumpet and banner and a registered design and model number.

H x 7.5 cm to tip of handle extended 19 cm
Condition:
As the item is well over 100 years old and to be expected there is a small amount of general usage wear consisting of a spot of tarnishing, a small pin dent and a few light scuffs/scratches on the top surface. These are insignificant and are mentioned only for accuracy. Please refer to the photos.
There is no damage and is in excellent condition.
The handle is firmly attached, swings freely and stays upright when needed.
All 4 base feet are securely attached, there are no repairs and polishes up beautifully.
