Beautiful prestigious 1860s antique Britannia plated silver, rare Apostle Spoons.
The sought-after Apostle spoons are prized for capturing historical periods and were particularly popular in England. Known for their high quality, these spoons were crafted by well-known silversmiths and featured an Apostle or Saint, symbolic of the Last Supper, at the end of the spoon.
The 5 spoons featured here are a teaspoon size, with each having a matching Apostle; unfortunately, I cannot formally identify the Saint/Apostle. All 5 spoons are hallmarked to identify the maker and composition.
