Established in 1883 in England; the JOHNSON BROS were manufacturers and exporters of earthenware and ironstone china, producing tough durable practical domestic crockery that decorated many homes.
They were among the most successful pottery producers in England with production factories globally including Australia.
In 1957, Johson Bros. opened a tableware factory in Melbourne Australia, which was operated through a company also known as SOVEREIGN POTTERY Ltd.

Beautifully decorated nostalgic duo with opened Rose and Bud/ Green Leaf Pattern on ivory/white surface.
Gold trim on both saucer and teacup.
The saucer has a square round shape with a slight upward curve.
The teacup has a square round flat base with a wide opening.
Identification backstamp mark on both pieces that read ‘Sovereign Pottery Johnson/ Made In Australia’.
Measurements:
Saucer 14.2 cm across.
Teacup 8.8 cm (top rim width) x 7.5 cm (H).
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition with slight crazing on the teacup handle.
There are no chips, cracks, repairs, stains or other crazing.
Gorgeous nostalgic English/Australian earthenware, a perfect addition to fine-tea dining!
