This lovely gravy boat jug or even creamer features a delightful art-deco-nouveau transferware crossover pattern of pink banding with a black and yellow floral filigree pattern and gold edging. The maker is unknown, although it is highly likely to be Alfred Meakin and dates approximately to the 1920s.
Beautiful vintage tableware and a pleasant accompaniment to any table. The jug can serve as a charming vase or be used as intended, either as a creamer or gravy boat. Hot liquids have not been tested in the jug to maintain its integrity, so it is advisable to proceed at your discretion before placing hot gravy into it.
Made In England backstamp and pattern number are visible on the underside for authenticity and identification.

L x 16 cm spout to end of handle
W x 10.5 cm top rim.
W x 6.5 cm base
H x 10 cm.
425 ml capacity

Condition:
The jug is in excellent vintage condition. Besides some wear on the gold gilt edging, there is no crazing, chips, cracks, staining or repairs, and appears to have been well looked after. The transferware motif is clear and vibrant, and the handle is firmly attached.
Gloss white finish.
