Antique Condiment Cherub Divided Candy Dish Rare Chinoiserie Japan.
Here is a beautiful vintage ceramic dish, possibly antique, that can be used for holding condiments or candy. It has an art deco Chinoiserie design and a decorative flared oblong scalloped shape. At the centre of the dish, there is an embossed/attached cherub figurine that serves as a delicate grip handle to divide the dish. The dish has a blue and white floral pattern/trim throughout with a glossy finish. You can identify the dish by the impressed back stamp on the underside. This lovely table
centrepiece can be filled with sweets or used to hold your favourite jewellery pieces.
Made in JAPAN.

Condition:
To be expected, due to the age of the item, there is a small glaze ‘fleck’ on top of the Cherub’s head, a few rough nibbles around the dish edge that are not visible and felt through touch only, and 2 tiny glaze ‘flecks’ also on the edge. There also
appears to be a small manufacturing mark on the Cherub’s nose. These are all insignificant and mentioned for accuracy.

Considering the age of the item, it is in a rather excellent condition. There is no damage, repairs, large chips, cracks or even crazing. The Cherub is also firmly attached.
Item has been well researched for accuracy.
