Rare collectible vintage ceramic figurines of an adorable mother elephant and her baby calf.
Beautifully detailed, these items have been hand-painted with colourful dark greys, olive greens, pinks, and blues and have a gloss finish. The trunks are upward-pointing to signify good fortune, and both have lovely detailed fine features. They make adorable mid-century home decor and lovely gifts for avid travellers, elephant lovers and for those who appreciate collectible vintage Japanese ceramics.

W x 6 cm at widest points
H x 6.7 cm.
Calf elephant measures approximately:
L x 8 cm
W x 4 cm at widest points
H x 6 cm.
Condition:
A few insignificant manufacturing glaze, rough spots and some crazing on the mother’s underside of her trunk.
Both are in excellent condition and appear to have no chips, cracks or repairs.
