Made from unglazed stoneware/porcelain with a matte ‘biscuit’ finish and beautiful attention to detail.
‘Portland Blue’ colour with a raised white cameo decoration on the lid and a floral garland trim.
As there is no impressed trademark identification on the base, except for an impressed number; the maker cannot be formally identified. However, there is a strong suspicion that the maker is Wedgwood and that the item is from the Jasperware range; due to the item’s resemblance likeness to the Wedgwood pattern, colour, raised detail and the ‘fact’ that some items from Wedgwood are not marked, as is the case too for other vintage items.
