This vintage cake/serving plate is a classic beauty made by J & G Meakin, manufacturers of fine china and earthenware.
The plate has the Vintage J & G Meakin England SUNSHINE SOL pattern with the title "Old Drury 1665" and is ideal for serving luncheon cakes and sandwiches. The collectible pattern depicts a colourful Victorian English lifestyle and the Inn/Pub "OLD DRURY 1665" (sometimes referred to as "SWEET NELL -OLD DRURY 1665"). It has a lovely round square shape design with a decorative scalloped edge and gold gilt trim.
J & G Meakin SOL sunface trademark is printed on the back of the plate.
