Antique silver-plated Mustard Pot with cobalt blue glass insert liner.
Made from electro-plated Britannia metal; a type of pewter alloy commonly used in the early part of the 19th century.
Featuring three decorative ‘claw’ feet, an ornate handle, a hinged lid and a bristol cobalt blue glass liner.
A beautiful piece of high tea tableware that can be used as intended, a mustard pot, even a lovely sugar pot or to serve your favourite condiments. The glass liner can be removed for easy cleaning and there is a slot on the lid for a small teaspoon. Trademark identification of trumpet and banner with impressed hallmarking on the underside of the pot.

Location: Sheffield ENGLAND.
Circa: 1920 - although the” trumpet and banner” trademark was registered in 1879.
Style: Antique Victorian.
Status: Discontinued -Collectible.

Measurements approximately:
W x 9cm, at widest points and including handle.
H x 7.5 cm, at the highest point.

Condition:
As the item is well over 100 years old and to be expected there is general usage wear consisting of a small amount of
tarnishing and ‘scuffs/buffs’. These are insignificant and are mentioned only for accuracy.
In excellent condition.
There are no repairs or dents. The hinge works well and all 3 feet, as well as the handle, are firmly attached.
The glass liner is free from chips and repairs and sits well in the pot.
Polishes up beautifully!
