Vintage Murano Art Glass Multicolour Spatter Glass Handkerchief Vase.
This is an exceptional piece of beautiful art glass. Perfect home decor with a modern eye-catching appeal and a must addition to any existing glass collection.
The glass vase is 1960s, mid-century modern, hand-blown and a collectible piece of art glass. It is of exquisite quality with a multicoloured 'Spatter' glass pattern and 'Handkerchief' design. It features colourful, vibrant glass tones of 'tangerine' orange and yellow with splashes of white. The glass is thick and heavy with long round draped sides and alternating heights, and it has a round polished flat pontil base. Although unmarked, I believe it to be Venetian-Murano glass.
Measurements approximately:
H x 23 cm at the highest point
W x 18.5cm top rim, at widest points.
W x 9 cm base
Bare weight 1.9kg
Condition:
There are some bubbles in the glass from manufacturing, expected and seen often in these types of pieces.
Also, a barely visible tiny ‘scuff’ spot on the orange glass area and a few ‘nibbles’ or burst bubbles?? on the underside rim.
All are insignificant and are not seen as damage and are mentioned only for accuracy.
In excellent vintage condition.
There are no chips, cracks, or fractures. The glass has excellent clarity and no staining.
